Résumé de la thèse

In my research I treat about Moses and Elijah in Qumran and in Rabbinic thought.

The discoveries of Qumran manuscripts have opened new horizons and they raise new questions on Ancient Judaism. The careful study of the non-biblical Qumran manuscripts allows one a new understanding of the functions and roles of Moses and Elijah.

While in Qumran these two figures seem intersect, in Rabbinic writings they are complementary and with a lot of similarities as in the biblical texts or if they are in competition.

Behind these conclusions, I search to identify tension between intellectual and/or social milieus and to find the theological issues of such presentations in the texts.
